Governor Andrew Cuomo last week ordered all New Yorkers to wear masks when in public places in order to safeguard our health. In addition, Mayor Bill de Blasio has asked grocery stores and supermarkets to require shoppers cover their mouths and noses with some form of a mask.
I feel this should have been required a month ago, and maybe less people would have gotten sick or have died. I'm over 70 years old, and I have been wearing a mask for two weeks now.
Let’s all do the right thing and enact these health measures. By doing so we can save lives, including our own.
Be safe, be smart and be well.
