Dear Editor,

As reported in the media, the budget for the city's veteran services agency has increased 70 percent, but homeless veterans got less for housing and other services. Why?

I am a veteran of the Vietnam era and after the war found myself homeless, but I finally back on my feet with the help from government agencies.

I believe the city and Mayor Bill de Blasio should get to work and help these veterans who have served our nation with honor and dedication.

Sincerely,

Frederick R. Bedell, Jr.
