In the sweep, six were arrested, two for possession of forged vehicle documents, three for driving while intoxicated, and one had a suspended license.
A criminal court summons was issued, 15 summonses were issued for moving violations, 10 for parking violations and five vehicles were seized.
When asked about drag racing problems in the area, Community Board 5 District Manager Gary Giordano said he hasn't received any recent complaints about the issue.
"But just because I'm not getting complaints doesn't mean it's not a problem," he said.
"The craziness of drag racing and putting your life and other people's lives at risk just doesn't make sense to me," Giordano added.
He said Maurice Avenue near the Long Island Expressway was a popular spot for drag racing in previous years.
According to a local civic group, Elmhurst is also a targeted area for drag racing, particularly near 51st Avenue and Queens Boulevard.
Civilians are urged to call 911 to report drag racing complaints.
