Two years of construction by CAC who got the contract to replace the Sewer Lines in the street. All residents had to endure the inconvenience, and damages to their homes, stoops and sidewalks. Reason the gigantic Crane breaking up the street.

But that’s not all. Anyone who had damages to their homes, or stoops were to be compensated by the insurance company

Travelers.

Besides the shaking of everyone’s homes by the large Crane, the breaking up of stoops and railings were common. However, even if you got your own estimates, Engineer reports, Travelers sent their own people after the project was

over, and no matter how severe the damages were, their people said it was all pre-existing? How could that determination be made? Easy, this way Travelers could deny all claims.

So I ask you folks, if that was their strategy so they wouldn’t have to pay out any claims, how could Travelers select only three residents on the entire block and pay them a check and not anyone else? One resident said her stoop was in need of repair to begin with. But the construction made it worse.

So 20 of us still fighting with Travelers till this day.

Mr. Holden, City Councilman and Senator Addabbo has been trying to help the residents.

Even City comptrollers office can’t help us because now we are all passed the deadline of 90 days past the completion of the project.

Lastly the Heavy rains recently caused the sewers to overflow and flood every resident’s basement on the block.

Nice Sewer Job CAC did for our Community.

Travelers claim rep Joe Barretta and his boss, John Petroski has been very nice. But they keep denying us more than once.

If we all have to go to Channel 7 to have them fight for us we will. Seven on your side.

’Paying three residents out of 24 is

an admission of guilt.’

We all suffered, so deny everyone or pay everyone.
