Justice is served for Clementi

Dear Editor:

Dharun Ravi was convicted of a hate crime by using a a web camera to spy on his roommate at Rutgers University in a romantic encounter with another man and broadcast it. Tyler Clementi killed himself over the event.

This was a very egregious and nefarious act to do to another human being. Justice is done and now Dharun Ravi may spend the time in jail to think about what he did to Tyler.

In my opinion to invade one's privacy is wrong, but to expose one's sexuality for all the world to see is an insult to all of us who require respect. This verdict I hope sends a message that bullying will be punished to the full extent of the law.

Sincerely,

Frederick R. Bedell, Jr.
